God Father 2, Family Betrayal

Directed and produced by Francis Ford Coppola, screen play by Francis Ford Coppolo and Mario Puzo and based on a novel the God father by Mario Puzo.God Father 2 is a back to back from the past and the present of Vito Corleone and Michael Corleone. It goes back into the life of Vito Corleone which shows his life and how he began the family business as a mob. The most important part of the film is the beginning because it shows why Vito Corleone became the man he becomes; it is because of revenge. He sought for revenge because Dan Siccia killed his family when he was a child, and that anger fermented within which created a dangerous man later on his life. This also gives you the understanding how the family came together in to an organisation that takes control of the streets. When Vito Corleone is young he seems like a innocent and respectable nice boy, at the time he was dumb but i believe through the years of hatred and revenge in his heart gave him the utterance to speak. it also reveals the time of Italian refuges coming to America in the early 19 hundreds. The new God Father Michael Corleone played as Al Pacino became even more powerful and extended the family business, he controls major hotels and casinos including having the great politicians in his pocket. Family is still important for him for he continues his father's legacy which is to secure his family security in a dangerous and crafty world. If anything will try to come against his family he will do all means to stand and fight to prevent it. Robert Deniero plays as Vito Corleone when his adult. I love the way he acts out his character for he does it very well; Vito is respectable, modest, and very noble, humbled and knows how to hear bad news and Deniero plays it fantastic. His also calm, gentle and not interested in things that doesn’t concern him. When Michael Corleone finds out that his brother wanted to kill him by the help of his enemies it was heartbroken because it was his own family, friends can betray but family is unmentionable. Later on the family begins to break apart. Michael fights to keep it stable but at the same time he is the one breaking it apart. His father Vito fought for security but later he forgets that and fights for power, he just tries to be strong like his father but his father’s power was his family and the love he had for them. The Corleone family used to be like the Roman Empire but love is no more only the greed for power.Michael Corleone soon kills his brother for trying to kill him, Roth dies and his father’s old friend dies all killed by the hands. No longer is Michael protecting his family members but killing them; He Is doing the complete opposite what is father wanted and slowly destroys his father’s legacy.
