The Great Plague

Date of film is 1922 directed F.W Murivau, Film novel by Bramm Stoker.Nosferatu is a beast which no person should out his name it’s strictly advised not to. Nosferatu can sense when his name is called so men act very cautious. From the diary of Johann Cavallius, a German historian; His native city is Bremen a city located in Germany: Nosferatu! That name alone can chill the blood! Nosferatu! Was it he who brought the plaque to Bremen in 1838? I have long sought the causes of that terrible epidemic, and found at its origin and its climax the innocent figures of Jonathon Harker and his young wife Nina. Because of the time this film was made it has no sound effects or speech only a musical instrument played at the background to express the mood of the Characters in different scenes. Sound is very important in this film because it communicates to the audience of what happening which without the sound it will be difficult to understand the atmosphere. And also the film uses big subtitles that cover the entire screen. Alexander Granach who plays as Reinfeld received an important letter from Dracula because he wants to buy a house in Bremen so he sent Jonathan Harker played by Gustav Von Wangenheim to the city of phantoms. Were Dracula can be located to help him decide which house he would like to live? But going there only lead Dracula to the city of Bremen with a powerful plague that killed many people in Europe. We soon later find out that Reinfield is also a vampire, his servant of Nosferatu that why he was under his influence. Reinfield was the cause of all this plague as he was the one who planed and allowed Harker to draw Nosferatu to Bremen. Nina played by Breta Schroder the wife of Harker fulfilled what was written in the book of the vampire and sacrificed herself to stop the plague so her city Bremen would be saved. The spell soon was broken after the sacrifice and Reinfield and Dracula vanished but Nina died.
